Dear friends,
You know that The Method uses Socratic inquiry to gain better access to your inner knowledge. Therefore, I start 2026 with questions.
Why does everybody talk about New Year’s resolutions every year on this period? The simple answer is because whatever is new feels optimistic. I would offer another perspective and invite you to reflect on it.
Life moves in circles. A new year represents a fresh beginning, a new chapter—yes, a new cycle full of hope. As humans, we naturally seek what is new and possible. Nevertheless, if we only hope and don’t use our experience, or listen to what emerges in silence, then hope remains just… hope without real meaning.
That is why intention matters.
My proposal for 2026 is simple: let gratitude be our inner motivator.
Why gratitude? It’s simple! Because gratitude opens doors to curiosity. It invites imagination and new perspectives. It helps us look at the horizon of our lives with clear eyes and renewed energy. The new year ahead of us is exactly that—infinite possibilities. So let’s try to think a bit differently this year.
Let’s see the world not as a place of fear, but as a space to grow. Nobody knows the future, and no one can predict it. What we can do is become more effective and responsible by being ready within this growing space.
Let’s trust our journey, becoming one year more mature, using the lessons and experiences from last year and from all the years before.
If we do this, we open doors we didn’t even know existed. Let’s find these doors together.
We feel we can do it. And yes—this is the right moment.
I hope this newsletter inspires you to begin 2026 with openness, commitment, and a grateful heart.
With integrity and care,
Niki Smirni
